ReLEx SMILE
ReLEx SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) is a breakthrough of myopia correction, which is safer and less invasive than traditional LASIK laser correction. For the principle of this technology, in use of the latest Carl Zeiss VisuMax laser 3.0 system, without opening the corneal flap, the surgeon creates a small, lens-shaped tissue (aka. lenticule) within the cornea with femtosecond laser. After that, the lenticule would be extracted through a 2-4mm incision, to achieve the effect of vision correction. ReLEx SMILE corrects myopia, astigmatism and presbyopia to free patients from the dependence on glasses.

SMILE XTRA (Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking)
- Principles of SMILE XTRA:
- By locally adding vitamin B2 to the cornea and irradiating with UVA, collagen in corneal fibers would be fastened. It makes cornea tougher and more stable, and hence reduces the risk of corneal dilatation / deformation / degree rebound.
